Brothers, behold your calling. There are not many wise people according to the flesh, not many capable people, and not many of noble birth. But God chose the things of the future to shame the wise; God chose the weak to shame the strong; God chose the lowly things of the world and the despised things and the things that are not, to shame the things that are, so that no one may boast before God. You are from God and in Christ Jesus, and Jesus, who is from God, has become for us wisdom, righteousness, holiness, and redemption, so that it may be as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.” Amen.
There is a word in today's text that stands out to me. It is a boast. The word "boast" appears three times in this short text. In verse 29, it says, "This is so that no flesh may boast before God." That is what is being said, and in verse 31, it says, "Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord." I will talk about this in two parts.
우리의 자랑은 오직 예수 그리스도뿐입니다
Well, a while ago, I received a call from my second child's school. The second child is now going to receive an award in front of the students. So, I mean, it's only been two months since I transferred to this school, so why would I receive an award? I asked why you received the award. So, what they're saying is that they get along really well with their friends at school. And they said that they decided to give the award because I studied hard and did well, and above all, was extremely obedient to the teacher and did so well. Hearing that story made me feel really proud and grateful.
