Which city did Paul arrive at during his voyage?
Paul arrived at a city called Myra to avoid the headwinds.

To put it simply, they sailed to avoid the headwind and arrived at a city called Myra. This makes sense, but they stayed there for a long time. They sailed to escape the winds of Cyprus and crossed the seas of Cilicia and Pamphylia to reach Myra. This scene is vividly recorded. They took a detour to avoid this headwind. Friends, what does Cyprus mean to Paul? It is truly an amazing place. Look closely at the flow and context of this passage. Cyprus is the region where Paul was commissioned as a missionary and carried out his first ministry. When they sailed, Cyprus was to the south, and Cilicia was to the north. They were passing right in between. Imagine this scene like a movie. If this scene were to be filmed, what kind of nostalgia would Paul have felt looking at Cyprus to the south? What would his expression have been like? Moreover, this Cyprus is the hometown of Barnabas. He must have certainly felt such emotions. This is God's comfort and special consideration for Paul. This headwind can only be explained in that way. As he wrapped up all his missionary work, Paul must have had a moment and time to reflect on his life and longings while looking at the coast of Cyprus. So, what about Cilicia? That is Paul's hometown, Tarsus. Cilicia, Tarsus. Wow, what an incredible thing. Even if you try to give it meaning, you can't create it like this. It truly resembles a scene from a movie. Looking at Cilicia, Paul's hometown, he might have thought, "It was like that back then." "This is how God prepared for me in my mission field." Hmm, "When I fell, God held me and gave me the strength to carry out this ministry well." Amen. How deeply moved must Paul have been, reflecting on God's providence and grace during that voyage? Truly, all of this is so intricate. It’s a part that could easily be overlooked, but why did Luke not forget these places and record them so perfectly? It is because we can read God's heart towards His people and servants.
