But God, through Paul, said to stay in Fair Havens. Fair Havens is an uncomfortable place. There is not much food there. The facilities are nothing special either. There are no people there. There is no money there either. It is the most desolate place. But isn't God telling them to spend the winter in Fair Havens? Through Paul.
We forget for a moment. We focus all our faith only on Phoenix, trying to set our eyes and move toward it. Look closely. But God sometimes requires us to stay in Fair Havens. This is spiritual insight. God can bind us to an uncomfortable time and place like Fair Havens that we find hard to endure.
To just blindly say, "This is not it. I hate this. This is inconvenient. We must go to Phoenix nearby no matter what." Thinking this way can also be a choice that strays from God's will, plan, and purpose. Looking at the conclusion today, I reach that result. In this time and place, I can also confirm how much God guards and values this place.
